ABOUT
Lukas Petrikas has worked with start-ups for much of his career, before becoming an investor with Mokafund in early 2024.
During his years in leadership roles at one of the world’s largest stock market operators – HKEX - Lukas assembled and ran elite teams in Strategy, Digital, Data, Innovation and Corporate Finance. He designed innovative, large-scale platforms that remain successful to this day. These include the Hong Kong IPO system (FINI), as well as the trading infrastructure that connects China's domestic equity and bond markets with international investors. As of 2025, these programmes have facilitated over USD 35 trillion of completed trades.
Lukas started his career as an M&A investment banker at Rothschild, working on bank bailouts and restructurings in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis, including bank rescue programmes in the Netherlands, UK, Finland, Denmark and Ireland; as well as the sale of Lehman Brothers Asia to Nomura.
Lukas serves on the boards of MELP, WeGro and Axiology, as well as the angel network NGL. He remains an active adviser to corporates, VCs and students on various capital markets and governance topics.
